This is exceptionally well written, thank you. And so utterly true. And it certainly applies to many of Katrina's alters.

Evil does exist in the world - and the reason it still exists and is still so powerful and controlling is because it's not psychologically tolerable for most people to accept that truth. What they forget is that evil is so vastly outnumbered by humans that were everyone to be aware of it the natural self-defence would eliminate evil somewhat permanently. Evil knows this, of course, hence it needs to disguise itself. 'Evil always pretends to be good...' Unless, of course, it thinks there's no one watching...

Thank you Evelyn. Exactly. And I think many kids are more aware of it than adults, as our nervous systems dull as we age as a result of time and over stimulation. The nature of a predator is to prey upon what can't say no, which is essentially a child. Our children are particularly vulnerable and I wish we were more willing to fully comprehend the horrors of this world and protect them from it.

I couldn't agree more. Your journal entry also awakened my own inner child, as I was abused by psychopaths, although aged seven rather than six (which caused a certain level of dissociation). I used to have my own nightmares about this, as well as my own safe space inside those dreams. Then one of them wasn't there anymore (I helped get him convicted), and the nightmares stopped. So yes, confronting them does work.

But preventing it from ever happening in the first place would be better, of course...

I'm so sorry for the trauma you've survived. That's very brave to have stood up to the situation like that, many are so broken afterwards that to go through a trial is too much for them. But following through like that didn't just serve justice, it helped any other victims, and prevented future ones. Good job. Wish I could say more to articulate the strength in this.

This is really fascinating. I've been trying to do some research for a horror novel I'm working on, and I'm finding a repeated theme of people saying that fear is the energy that demons feed on. That it's more about energy transfer as fuel for demons... It's cool to think of that acceptance of fear as a way to negate that. I always find it fascinating. The way that denial plays a role too, like if people are afraid of something but don't really acknowledge it. Not to reduce it to pop culture, but I often feel this is what Twin Peaks is about.

Yes. The most anxious people I know also have the most avoidant personalities. Nothing can be transformed unless we look at it, otherwise it stagnates and becomes worse. I wrote this hoping people would be empowered to face what’s challenging them.

The start of this post is terrifying, I know these feelings, they are base.

The mention of using mirrors to reflect demonic energies reminded me of Giovanni B. Caputo who has a bunch of writings on mirror gazing, psychomanteum and the like that I think you would find interesting and informative.

Yes, exactly. They are sensitive and particularly vulnerable, and I wish we did more to protect them.
