Metanoia officially has three chapters published on Substack, or in my case, three lifetimes. For those following my story, I want to give you a heads up on the chapter that will begin arriving in your inbox tomorrow morning.
To start off, it’s a long one. It will begin in November and conclude in January. It is long because it needs to be, partly because of the nature of this chapter and partly because this gives me a little bit more time to tackle the unwritten parts. I need the time now more than ever due to recent unfortunate events in my personal life that have set me back (a story for another time, or perhaps just via individual correspondence). I know how frustrating it can be to have a story strung out over a long period of time, especially for those of you kind enough to be paying a monthly subscription. For that reason, I invite any of you to make requests on what you’d like to see on my Substack so that you’re getting what you’re here for.
However, that’s not the main reason why I’m sending out a PSA beforehand. I’m posting this to explain that I wrote this upcoming chapter long before recent global events. If you’re following my work, what I said will soon make sense. I’m going to keep this vague to not spoil anything, but let’s just say that prior to 2020, I had fully planned and written this part of Metanoia. Post-2020, I wondered if what I wrote could potentially be controversial. We are swimming in a sea of misinformation and a lot is unknown and uncertain about the major events currently taking place. For the record, I want to state that this part is in no way a fictitious expression of an opinion or belief that I have of recent historical events.
Nevertheless, the events I wrote about are in some ways eerily parallel to real life…
One can wonder.
I will explain more of this later once this chapter is published, perhaps in a post where I include a video discussing the details. But in the meantime, I’d like to leave this part unspoiled for those following it as I publish.
That is all for now. Thank you so much for being here and taking the time to read this update. If you were considering subscribing to Metanoia, now is the time.
That’s freaky. I’m gonna be honest, I want to know whatever the Hell it was you wrote that might be so controversial now that 2020 happened.
I get things like that, mostly I write things that rarely end up happening in the real world.
To lighten the mood, I’m gonna make a joke here and say that I hope you or I don’t write about an Apocalyptic event that wipes out humanity, we really don’t need that to come true right now.
Since you opened the floor to requests, I'd be interested in seeing behind the scenes things for Metanoia, or previews of what's to come. That would help tide me over while waiting for new updates.
I was worried one part of Battles Beneath the Stars would draw a lot of negative attention, but it's gone through with no outrage. So I'm sure the next lifetime for Metanoia will go over fine.
