Becoming and staying inspired is possibly the greatest feat in writing.

The goal: Trick myself into falling into the right flow state so that I can get the most out of the 2 hours I have at my disposal.

I’ll try anything - the right podcast, my favorite meal as a reward, reading through past comments and posts (thank you to all of you for your engagement and encouragement) and, of course, music.

I’m on the hunt for wonder. Something that will guide me through the perilous void of the blank page.

I know many of you can relate to this, so I’m taking a moment to share with you the tools that have helped me.

Many of these songs inspired me at the birth of Metanoia. Some of them evoked entire scenes before I had even conceptualized the novel. I’ve thought about integrating some of these songs into my posts of Metanoia on Substack. What do you think?
