Star date 77967.4. I write to you from my bed, where I will be resting a lot of the time now until things are in motion again. I will not force this process. Instead, I will take care of myself, take care of business, and take each day as it comes.
We are over the half way mark in the year, and anyone who pays attention is concerned and absolutely exhausted.
The number 6 is about harmonization of that which has dissonance. In this month’s video, I discussed how much that dissonance is felt with the unbalanced polarity of our times. The 8 is a serious karmic number. When combined with this month’s 6, which can often denote familial responsibilities and our relationships, I think July could mean taking responsibility for the role we’ve played in our lives in this context.
Aside from this, this message is also your reminder that when you take sick time, watch your favorite show, sleep, and simply be, you are not wasting time. These are investments that you make towards yourself. You are not a waste of time. When we nurture ourselves, we have more to give to our community.
I think many of us are battle weary in one way or another - no two instances are quite alike. My advice this month is simple: water what you want to grow. If difficult feelings or circumstances are creating an internal blockage, dont try to distract yourself, that will only prolong the inevitable. Let yourself feel what you are feeling until you are able to move through it.
A softer approach is called for this month, and I hope that anyone who is having a hard time is able to be patient with themselves as they navigate this chapter.

July is for rest. Let’s take a month to address needs that were placed on the back-burner, or that were overlooked, so that we may feel like ourselves again.
Bonus Card Reading:
The Wheel of Fortune reminds us this month that what is down must go up, and what us up must come down. Life is eternally ebbing and flowing in this way, and any obstacles you are facing right now are temporary.
The Emperor reversed makes me feel like perhaps many of us are struggling with our executive functioning right now, finding it hard to be confident in our choices or to move forward smoothly without hesitation. We might lack inspiration or motivation. Again, this is only temporary. We should sit with ourselves long enough to understand what is blocking us creatively, or from carrying out daily tasks and move through it.
The blockage here could potentially be some form of dissatisfaction. I’ve seen this come up before, so we haven’t fully addressed this yet.
From the guidebook:
“The Four of cups asks if you are withdrawing from the flow... Have you removed yourself from the sea of opportunities available to you?”
I think many of us are disappointed, either in large ways or small. Things will not always work out as we planned, and sometimes withdrawing from what is not working is actually the right thing to do.
On the bright side, the 4 of cups can also imply a kind of emotional stability that can come from withdrawal. Be still, and observe the currents.
For the final card, we have The Sun. The best omen, in my opinion. The Sun tells us of a time where we have the resources to flourish, just like this flower turning towards it’s star. Be open to the light around you, even if it us just a tiny light right now.
"Water what you need to grow" is what I will take away, one of many things. Thank you for sharing! Rest and hope you feel better soon.
These wise words are much appreciated. Yes we are battle weary and I think a period of self care is in ordee. Thanks!
